Michael is currently the Educational Outreach Trainer for the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA Covid-19 Campaign – post retired). He is a former (retired) Regional Manager and Acting Program Manager for Cal/OSHA Consultation. Michael is a Cal/OSHA Emergency Response Manager that included services during the Katrina Emergency and California Wild Fires. Michael started with Cal/OSHA in February 1976 as a field engineer and eventually promoted to managing the Cal/OSHA Education and Training Unit. He also worked as a Transportation Engineer and Program Manager for the Highway Congestion Monitoring Program in Cal/Trans. Michael's education includes: B/S Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management & US Army Veteran.

Kelly Kilpatrick has been associated with CAL INC since 2013. His background in the environmental industry began with Asbestos, Lead and Mold consulting. He became a certified Lead Sampling Technician and Mold Inspector in 2014 and worked for various entities for a number of years before deciding to get involved with teaching. His experience spans from work on residential and commercial projects as well as on-site experience on public works projects.
His field experience has provided him the background to provide hands-on instruction/training to hundreds of entry level students as well as experienced asbestos, lead, mold and hazardous waste professionals. His ability to apply real world scenarios to his classroom instruction have given his students a greater understanding of what abatement and remediation and consulting entails. |
