125 Years and CountingWhile incorporated in 1901, the founding of SRBX dates back to 1888. "It's membership consists of all the principal builders and contractors in the City of Sacramento. The purpose of its organization is set forth in the first article of its constitution, as follows: 'The object of the association shall be to encourage a more intimate acquaintance and cultivate a feeling of friendship among its members, to make them better acquainted with the wants and necessities of the building business, arbitrate and settle disputes, if any arise, and generally to advance and protect their business interest as contractors and builders.'"
