Who we are:

Founded in 1901 and serving 1,100 member companies, the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange (SRBX) is the construction industry’s oldest association in the region. In 2023, SRBX added the Placer County Contractors Association membership to its ranks, making SRBX one of the largest local membership organizations of any kind in the Metropolitan Sacramento Region.  

SRBX provides its members with essential tools and services to help them bid, build, and thrive. In keeping with the emerging needs of the industry, SRBX operates two subsidiary entities focused on two of the biggest challenges facing construction today: Future workforce and Government Regulation. SRBX’s Construction Industry Education Foundation (CIEF) is growing into a national presence through its hands-on and industry mentoring programs that awaken high school students to the potential of careers in the built environment. SRBX’s governmental advocacy is performed under its California Builder’s Alliance entity. CBA consolidates the voice of Builders Exchanges across California, amplifying our voice in the pursuit of less onerous industry regulation and increased state investment in workforce, infrastructure, and housing. 

The Exchange’s members include area contractors and subcontractors, suppliers, and industry support organizations. SRBX serves the industrial & commercial construction industry by providing education programs, safety programs, bidding opportunities, political advocacy, networking avenues, and other related information and events for the construction industry. SRBX serves the industrial & commercial construction industry by providing education programs, safety programs, bidding opportunities, legislative updates, networking avenue, and other related information and events for the construction industry to help its membership prosper within the greater Sacramento Region. Our service area encompasses Sacramento, Solano, Yolo, El Dorado, Placer, Amador, and Alpine Counties. However, SRBX’s plan room services provide information on projects across the State of California. ​
