Plan Room Users: Please read for important information regarding Online Plan Service’s take-off software.
Our plan room software provider recently informed us that the takeoff software within the plan room, On-Screen Takeoff, was bought by another company. This purchase will eventually result in its removal from our plan room. In order to avoid service interruption, our software provider immediately began to develop a takeoff software replacement that incorporates into the plan room. The rollout plan for the replacement takeoff software (dubbed “Excelerator Takeoff”) had not yet been disclosed to SRBX when the new software was launched several weeks ago.
Unfortunately, this premature launch of Excelerator before full compatibility testing was complete resulted in a number of our users running into performance issues. We recognize the impact this unannounced change had on many of our members, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption this may have caused.
SRBX has shared our frustrations (and frankly, those of many of our members who called to communicate their challenges) with Excelerator’s developer. While SRBX eagerly anticipates the implementation of the new software (as our understanding of Excelerator’s enhancements and capabilities lead us to believe that our members will be provided with a better user experience,) we have repeatedly implored the developer to restore the use of On-Screen Takeoff as they work through the beta issues in Excelerator.
In response to our feedback, the developer of our plan room software has made changes to the project detail page that allows users to access the plans via both On-Screen Takeoff and Excelerator Takeoff for the time being. As they perfect Excelerator, it will become the primary system. We will work with the developer on training information and/or webinars to properly guide our members through the transition when the time comes. In the interim, allow us to once again apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
