Communications Intern (Summer)
Overview
As part of the Construction Industry Education Foundation (CIEF) in partnership with the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange, this paid internship will provide an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing and communications in a well-established non-profit organization. Selected candidate will have the opportunity to build their portfolio while learning in a fun and fast-paced environment.

This is a part-time, non-benefits, limited-term, paid internship position that is offered from May through August. Compensation will be discussed during the interview process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform social media market research and analysis
- Research news stories on current member companies
- Assist with writing news releases, media alerts, magazine articles and other success stories
- Draft and design flyers, electronic invitations and other promotional materials
- Assemble/create organization activity reports
- Assist in marketing and public relations projects with outside partners
- Contribute to the foundation’s website, Facebook and Twitter pages
- Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with all aspects of social media
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Strong writing and speaking skills
- Ability to communicate and maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment
- Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator skills preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly organized and task oriented
