SRBX serves nearly 65,000 member employees, with representation in Solano, Yolo, Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Alpine and Amador Counties. To enhance our membership, we offer education and safety courses, dynamic events, and networking opportunities throughout the year. Here are some of the great ways you can get involved for 2026!

SRBX Member Services Council:
The mission of the Member Services Council is to support the growth of the Exchange through activities to attract, educate and enroll new companies to SRBX while also retaining our existing membership base. Through the efforts of the SRBX Member Services Council, SRBX has been successful in maintaining an 80+% retention rate by following this strategy, exceeding the average retention rate for membership organizations. If you are a general member/plan room user and you want to engage more with our membership, this council is for you!

Council meets:
  • Lunch meeting every other 2nd Tuesday, bi-monthly

SRBX NEXT Young Professionals Council: 
NEXT is the SRBX Young Professionals Program which develops the next generation of construction industry leaders. By investing in the young talent of our industry, the program fosters personal and professional growth amongst current young professionals as well as bridging the gap to established members in order to provide opportunities for career advancement. 

Council meets:
  • Lunch meeting every 3rd Tuesday, monthly

SRBX Safety Council:
This Council is made up of safety professionals representing general contractors, OSHA consultants and staff. This Council takes pride in developing and delivering a comprehensive safety event.  For 2026, the Council will host a Safety Summit.  They also serve as advisors on new regulations and exchange educational programs and courses. Committee meets: Lunch meeting every 3rd Wednesday, monthly.

Sporting Events Council:
Join the Sporting Events Council and be part of the creative engine behind our signature events. Council members help drive outreach efforts to engage sponsors, attendees, and volunteers—while teeing up sponsorships and raffle prizes that keep our golf tournaments and clay shoots on target.

Women in Construction Conference Council:
The Women in Construction Conference Council helps shape one of the industry’s largest WIC Conferences. Council members actively contribute to programming ideas, enhance the attendee experience, and drive outreach efforts to engage sponsors, attendees, and volunteers. Together, the council inspires, educates, and connects industry professionals—men, women, and all those committed to driving meaningful change in construction. Solano & Placer County Builders Councils:
The Solano & Placer County Builders Councils will serve as a platform for industry professionals within the county to:
  • Exercise greater autonomy in planning events and initiatives tailored to local industry needs
  • Develop and deliver educational offerings relevant to the regional building landscape
  • Foster collaboration among peers, stakeholders, and community leaders

Councils meet:
  • Meeting, bi-monthly

General Day-of Onsite Event Volunteer:
Play a key role in bringing our events to life. Volunteers support day-of logistics, setup, teardown, assist attendees, and help ensure everything runs smoothly on site. It’s a great way to get involved, give back, and be part of a dynamic event experience. SRBX members will be given priority for volunteer positions.

Interested in volunteering with CIEF’s youth programs and making a direct impact on the next generation of industry leaders? Get involved with the Design Build Competition® Committee, Trades Day Committee, or CREATE® Competition mentor opportunities.
